Default Heads to mate with MS3 Cam?

I am pretty sure I want to run an MS3 camshaft with Livernois Motorsport Stage 2 LS6 heads. Would there be enough clearance without having to flycut? If not what do I have to do to get them to fit. Any help would be great, thanks guys!

Everyone asks this question. You are better off having more clearance than not. If your changing heads you should be able to measure.

Moving to the Internal section.

Ya, I am trying to go with a budget head though. I know TSP does good head work but I also don't want to spend a ton just on heads.

I would like a set that can handle the lift of the MS3 and has good flow numbers overall. I would like to stay under 2k for heads. The Livernois heads are $1300 and I have looked at some PRC heads that are around $1500. I keep seeing people saying to just go with AFR or ET but those heads are almost the cost of my entire H/C budget.

If I can get a nice set of TSP heads made to handle the MS3 I would be completely game. Will they fit the MS3 Ptv clearance whise though?

That what I was running on my GTO. I had no problems with PTV. Just give them a call tell them what cam and they will set you up. I was very happy with my heads and service from TSP

We offer both the Street LS6 head & a PRC Stage 2.5 5.3l head configured for the MS3 camshaft! Both setups are dyno proven to add 40-45rwhp! Checkout both of these options: They should both be in stock & ready to ship immediately!

If you are really at ~$2000 budgeted for heads, I would really consider the AFR 205's closely. Keep in mind AFR's have a greater valve drop than stock, even after milling down to 59cc, for a better safe margin than a stock casting head can achieve.

If you are firm on your budget, the PRC heads are a great product for the money - not taking anything away from them.

since you are going with the MS3 your better off going with heads from TSP since they are the ones that designed that cam. for budget heads its tough to beat those PRC and PATRIOT PERFORMANCE LS6 heads. but i always wanted to see MS3 w/ TRICKFLOWS!!

Yeah, I would like to see some big numbers but I only have about a $3,000 H/C budget. It doesn't help I also need to buy some of the tools and that I want to install an aftermarket oil pump as well.

Go with the PRC ported LS6 heads from tsp, I have those along with my ms3 cam and ls6 intake. I am a auto with a big stall and built 4l60-e and dynoed 430hp/390-lbfts.

If you go with the PRC 5.3 heads make sure you tell TSP that you are using it for the MS3.
