Adding rockers to cam swap?
Just bought a comp 212/218 .522" .529" 114LSA cam.
Using new designed 918 valve springs,
Want to buy new pushrods but am considering adding rockers?
I was looking at the scorpion rockers at 1.8 ratio. Can this setup work well with my engine? I would like to know before I start putting the stuff together so i can have matched parts. I dont know what the actual lift would be, but the 918 springs should be good a little past .600" lift. If you have any experience with something like this, plz let me know. I'm looking to do this right the first time.

Intake(1.7/1.8):.522/.552
Exhaust(1.7/1.8):.529/.560
The 918's will handle this no problem.
I don't have any experience personally with the Scorpion rockers, but from forum reports they are good rockers.
Good luck!

I installed that exact cam in my wifes 2000 C5 auto last year. I already had some SLP 1.85 ratio rockers sitting around so I installed them with the crane duals. This cam has great low/mid range torque and is perfect for around town. It has a RPM power band that is close to the stock cam (peaks around 5800-6000 rpm).

I installed a set of Scorpion 1.8s with 918s. The effective lift with the higher ratio is in the 575 range. April will be one year since the install and it's still running like a scalded dog. Scorpions are being advertised with a Lifetime Warranty. I don't know of any other rockers that have that.

I'd probly just stay stock I still have the stocks on with heads and 224 cam. The caust to HP ratio is just not enugh for me to buy them. For peice of mind I'd just have them rebuilt if anything. just my thoughts

Trying to remain stealth I guess. No particular reason, but I have heard good things about this cam. Its a little hotter than the ls6 cam which is a cam I was planning on getting anyway, but found it was going to be not worth the effort. I'm not looking for a ridiculous cam, just something with a little burble and that can run 12's with gears. This cam can get me there and keep the car running like stock.
