Default Help with patriot heads please.

I bought some ported patriot heads last summer from a guy who got them as
payment for a debt. The guy knew nothing about them other than they
were patriot heads. I checked the combustion chamber and intake port size
and they measured ~63cc and ~216-218cc. They have 2.02/1.57 valves.
The deck surface to head bolt surface is 1.602. They appear to have never been used and i have no way of knowing for sure how old they are. I'm almost certain they are 5.3l heads. They have rubber valve seals. Anyhow
I've been reading some older threads about patriots heads when they were
having issues with oil consumption, broken valve springs, and broken valves.
I'm a little apprehensive about putting these on my car. Does anyone know
how I can identify these heads as problematic or not such as batch numbers on the valves or springs. I just want to know if these will be safe to use.
I will post some pics.

I have a set of patriot stage II 5.3 heads originally purchased in 2004. These look very similar to my set. I just purchased them and have not had a chance to put them on. I'd be very interested in the oil consumption and spring info as well.

I'm guessing they are from 2003 since it has that written on the head.

Yea I thought the 2003 in marker was probably the year they were made
or possibly the heads p/n at pp. There is also the numbers 2052 in red marker
on one of the heads. I pmd and emailed gunnar so hopefully he can shed
some light although I spoke with him about them before I bought these and he couldn't id them.
Hopefully the pics will help.

They do appear to be an older set of heads. Not quite sure if they go back to 2003 but it is obvious that they are an older version. Give us a call and let's go over some options for you.
