Default Go to 1.8 Roller Rockers???

I have Patriot LS6 style heads (59cc) with the patriot gold dual springs, good to .650 lift. I have a cam with a small lift though (222/224 .566/.568). If I throw on 1.8 RR's my lift would be .599/.601, which should be fine for my springs.

Anyone recommend throwing in the 1.8's??? Would I get more power from this and if so, any guesses on how much more HP/TQ this would create?

Well it depends,do you heads flow good on higher lift?If it does then yes,but you got to have a good intake to that will flow up there..

I would first make sure that the lobes on your camshaft are compatible with the 1.8 rockers. Some lobes are too harsh to use with them.

Exactly what I was going to say. Some ramp rates are just too much for 1.8's.

Just swap cams. Your heads are all set up for it already. 1.8's are not my favorite mod. They have their time and place...just not to increase lift.

Call Thunder Racing and have their guy spec you a cam.

Just did the cam a few months back. Didn't want to go through that again $$$ since I have no tools and not much free time. Got a 92/92 combo being ported by Tony Mamo in the works also. Just wondering people's opinions on the 1.8's. Mainly if their main function is to increase lift. Also, would this increased lift result in power gains?

My personal experience wasn't too good. I put on quality 1.8s, but the increased lift also increased duration, which had a negative effect on idle and low speed power. I've since went back to stock rockers and I would change the cam before changing rockers. Cams are ground for one ratio and may work with a higher ratio, but not like intended.

That cam is on a comp XE lobe, if I recall. That should be OK to run with a 1.8 ratio. Its the XE-R and LSK lobes where youre better off running stock ratios unless youre damn certain you know what youre doing and are aware of the risks associated.

Yes, I believe it is on the XE lobes. One thing confuses me about the XE lobes though. Mine is said to be "High Rise". The smaller comp lobes I thought were also XE lobes. But my lift is almost .040 higher than the others (mine are .56x, I have seen the others around .52x) Not sure if these are both on XE lobes or not though.
