LS1 Hot Cam Installed
I just installed the Cam 2 days ago by myself and I am lovin it... I have seen a bunch of talk bout it but it is good enough for me... I bought the Hot Cam and LS6 Spring for $220 from a Friend. Springs were used but Cam was Brand New. And I am no mechanic but it was pretty easy to install with the basic tools... Only tools I needed to rent the the "Crank Pulley Puller", "Spring Compressor Tool" and the Hose that goes in the Spark plug hole... Anyone else have this Setup and what do you all think... I am also on Stock tune. I will post up a Video Clip when I get a chance

Thanks for the complimates... and I still haven't had a chance to spray because my bottle is low and there has been a little drizzle that just wanna leave... When I first ran the car Stock I hit 13.7 I am hoping of going next week to the tracks if the weather allows. Oh and some LT's and ORY are my next mod.

Did it idle when you first fired it up, I just got through swapping a hot cam in mine, and it will not idle at all. It will do ok up around 2000rpm, but won't even come close to idling in park. Now I am wondering if I missed plugging something back in. I figured it would at least somewhat idle.

It actually idled really good from the begining... at first I even thought it was a stock cam because it was real smooth but after it heated up it sounded really good... Did you make sure to line up the dots of the cam and crank? If you didn't it can really mess something up in the motor. Also you might wanna recheck the plugs and wires.
