Default Rebuilding motor. Parts list & Prices

So im going to be rebuilding, or rather freshening up my motor. I have a few questions on what brands to buy, and where i can find the best prices.

So far my parts list looks like this

Main Bearings
Rod bearings
Cam bearings
Rod bolts
Rod pins (Does anyone uprade these?)
Head Gaskets
Head studs/bolts
Piston rings
Fresh Hone
Lifter retainers

The heads are fine, and i already have lifters.

If anyone could possibly suggest anything else I need, the best brands, or the best place to buy them I would greatly appreciate it.

I would give SDPC a call, they usually have all that stuff in stock and at good prices.

Ya upgrade your chain to the LS2, and get the ported & Shimmed LS6 oil pump . Depending on mileage the valve springs, last thing you want is one of those to break .. Something else you could do while the motor is at the machine shop is get the internals balanced. This will make the motor run very smooth without much if any vibration .. Everything else looks good for a re-freshen.
