Default MS4 / PRC 5.3 2.5s no fly cutting?

I want to run the MS4 cam with the PRC 5.3 stage 2.5 heads and I don't want to fly cut my stock pistons. Is it possible and how???

i would get ahold of Texas Speed (your best bet) conserdering they make the 2. However, i believe they have to machine the the heads for that cam.

I already have the heads. I have a TSP 233/239 602/605 with stock heads in the car now should I just stay with the cam I have and do you think it will work well with the PRC heads?

it will work with the ms3 but you have to tell them to recess the valves in the 5.3s

And you lose a little flow doing that. I have asked how much on here but never got an answer. I would get a smaller cam that will clear if you don't wanna FC.

I wish I had milled and FC now for better DCR.

I'd stay with the cam you got or go MS4 cam only.

Defiantely requires either the stage 1 ls6 or cutting the pistons for the 5.3l heads. Our new PRC casting should be ready very soon & it'll have some clearance for either of those camshafts though!!!

How will the flow numbers change by recessing the valves?

I am going to stay with the cam I have now (TSP 233/239 602/605) and the PRC 5.3 stage 2.5s. I am hopping for 440-450 RWHP through a FTI-4000 stall. We will see.

Less open area. Think about it, you machine the valve seat deeper into the head. The valve sits higher up (away from the piston) so theres more clearance when it opens.
I can't imagine that, say you need .020 more ptv clearance so they sink the valve in the head that amount. Thats backyard IMO.

What also amazes me is what people do to not flycut/build an engine properly.
