If a motor is lean it will be more prone to detonation. The fueling is not going to cause transmission problems, but can cause stalling, bogging, or hesitation.

ya i know that the engine wouldnt cause tranny problems but just wondering if it would cause drivability issues like what i described in a previous post

lean will cause detonation which will cause the ECM to pull timing which MAY cause bucking.

my car after cam install ran lean and the transmission was feeling like it was slipping and going to fail, tuned the ve table and I was amazed to say the transmission problem is gone for ever! I think the engine was hesitating and caused the trans problem.
