I put a new belt and it has some different cuts, but it works. Now after the screeching sound after a long week of rain and after the new belt, now I hear like a "blower" "turbo" sound from my car. When its idle, you can barely hear it...once the revolutions go high, thats when it gets a little bit louder...sounds like a turbo/blower.....could it be my pulleys?

mine has a sound kind of like a supercharger or something along those lines at idle as well... especially cold starts...

click my video in my sig, and let me know if it's the same sound... it's towards the 2nd half of the video when i'm walking near the engine bay while it's running...

it's a mystery my friend...

I've been trying to figure it out for a LONG time... even removed my AIR system because I suspected it was that...

car is running fine, so i've just learned to live with it... not to mention, everytime someone pulls up to me they think i'm supercharged and I just grin at them

if i had to guess i wouls say it kinds sounds like a whiney power steering pump.

the only reason i would debate that is...

1. my resevoir is full
2. it only does it during cold starts... at least that's what it seems...
3. it makes no extra noise when i'm turning
4. i've had my power steering pump "whine" before and it didn't sound like this...


this is more of a whistle sound... i don't think it would be a vacuum leak, since the car seems to be operating just fine... brakes are working good...

mine whistles all the time........sounds messed up, but i kinda like it. LOL......

Interesting, mine starting making a similar sound when I switched from an MTI to an SLP lid and smooth bellow. I thought it was airflow related.

could be..............im goin to check now....im curious......but really it sounds like i have a mini-supercharger. the higher my rpms go, it starts to sound like a turbo

mine could be all the time... but usually when i'm in the car driving i can't hear **** because everything else is so loud

lol, same here, between the whining rearend, exhaust, and stereo, I can't even hear myself think.

Lol my car did that as well... check the idler pulleys take them off, put your finger through it and spin it. if you feel in lumpiness in it theres the culprit. As for a whistling noise check to see you dont have a vacum leak...

lol, thinking about it... it is fun to scare people at meets telling them you have a blower.. hehehehh that was fun.
