Arrow HELP! Custom Cam Specs.

I have 2002 Trans AM WS6. I will be shipping my stock 241 cast heads off to A.I. for cnc port job. I will be running on the motor so I wanna know what is the BEST CAM. I have read where 228/232 is the best on stock C.I. Any help will be nice.

Let Phil at A.I. recommend you a cam since your heads will already be there.

There is so much more to deciding on the right cam specs than just, "I heard 228/232 was the best". How many miles a year you drive the car, idle quality wanted, rpm range you want it to perform best in, what intake manifold is being used, weight of the vehicle, rear gear, stall converter and many many many more things determine cam specs.

I'd be glad to spec a cam and have one ground for you. We have gotten great results with Ai port work and our cams over the years and recently.

I have a T.C.I 3600 stall i drive anywhere between 80-150 miles a week. I have a LS6 intake, 3.23 gear( maybe switch to a 3.73) The car is stock weight. I want the car to sound aggressive and lopey.

The 228 / 232 is a proven performer, and with your stall verter, might be fine. Tho, since ur heads are at A I, ask them as they also spec cams.

From this member = Damian's Avatar,, I typically see 415-420rwhp on every 228/232 I install. Been using that cam for years.

Ur ride Auto or Manual ? What rear axle ratio ?

A 228/232 wont be bad at all for your car. It would be a legit choice! Its a good proven cam, but if you want something custom contact Martin at Tick. He makes amazing cams.
As far as the gears go you should be better off with a 3.73.
