Default would a L92 VVT w/6 spd work with a CTS-V tune

hello guys

what i have here is a 2007 cadilac escalade 6.2L vvt engine mated to a t56 6 speed manual. i had the engine harness custom made, instead of using the e38 2 plug ecm i had the engine harness made for a e67 3 plug ecm. the reason why was because the 2007 cadilac cts-v came with a ls 6.0 engine mated to a t56 and it uses the e67 3 plug ecm.
know i have the engine and tranny in the car all the guages work oil pressure is up to 40-45 the engine cranks fine but it wont start. checked for spark and i got no spark. now can it be the security bullcrap from gm.
this engine is installed on my 1999 s10 blazer 4 dr. what else can i look for.
if it is the bull crap gm security how do i get rid of that i have the efilive v2 scanner, with it i installed the 2007 cts-v program with the vats off.
can you guys give me some advice. i've been working on my truck for the last 3 month and now im up to the end, getting ready to start and it wont start.

Maybe try posting in the Tuning forum?

Did you keep the L92 stock? What did you do with the VVT? The CTSV does not have that. I fired up my L92 w/LS7 cam using the GMPP harness and E67 ECU with the LS7 tune.

yes i kept the L92 stock with all the VVT stuff in it, and put a stock tune from a 2007 cts-v.
do you have a LS7 tune i can try.
or do i need to change the cam also. i would hate to do that.

I don't have any tuning software. I just got the GM performance parts harness and ECU package for an LS7 crate engine. I figure the tune will be close since I am using an LS7 cam and the injectors that I am using are the same size. I changed my L92 manifold to the L76 intake/LS9 throttle body/LS7 injectors. GM sells the manifold complete for about $550.

I also ditched the VVT. So my L92 is basically more like an LS3 now with an LS7 cam.

That's not what I have. The E67 ECU will not work with the cable drive throttle body. That might be your problem. I have the a 90mm drive by wire throttle body on my manifold. Did you look at the link to my build?

Default some parts help for removing the Dod stuff

DoD is only on the trucks, not on the SUVs. so what did this engine come out of?

If you have dod & vvt you will want to replace the oil pump with a ported unit. Byunspeed sells a SDparts LS2 ported oil pump for 149.99 with free S&H.

I think you said the water pump clears the TB.
If not you you will need the speartech tensioner.

You can use the L92 intake with a a 90mm LS2 TB. Try and get a used one
from a C5 corvette as it will be a DBW TB.

You will need a MAF if you don't already have one because of NYS emissions laws.

I have some of the part #'s
LS3 balancer and bolt part #'s 12601402
103MM Bolt: # 12557840
110.5MM Bolt: # 11570046
Front cover including cam sensor = 12600325
LPE kit direct or on Ebay.

http://www.lingenfelter.com/store/l200175307.html

You should upgrade to double or extreme springs and use hardened pushrods.

here are some cams I am looking at:
LS7 Stage 2 # 88958722 227/239 @ .050 .324/.324 108 LSA

LS7 Stage 3 # 88958723 233/276 @ .050 .350/.350 107 LSA

LS Hot Cam kit # 12480033 (GEN III)
1.7 Rocker ratio // 226/236 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.525" / 0.525" int/exh lift 110 LSA

read my thread for information on the balancer:

hope this helps

Josh
