Default Pictures--- Cary @ Performance Inductions Single plane Vs. Victor Jr.

This past weekend, I made the trip up to Detroit to pick up the parts for my new race motor. I've been dealing with Cary @ Performance Induction Specialties for the past few months, and also Kelley at Thomson Automotive. Between those 2 shops, I now have everything to build my new motor with the exception of the pushrods.

Here are some pictures comparing Cary's intake with my old Victor Jr. setup. Cary's intake will be sent out within the next week or so to get plumbed.

I'll let you guys figure out what kind of heads these are for. All you need to know is they flowed 425 cfm @ .900 lift. And yes, the low lift numbers were phenominal too.

On to the pictures.....

C5R? Doesn't quite look like LS7 or L92. I'm going to say its C5R.

Very nice looking intake!

Could you take some measurements of the intake?

Runner length
Runner dimensions at the head
Runner dimensions at the plenum

I would be interested in the same information on the Edelbrock.

I like how that is a 2 piece manifold, makes porting that much easier. Saw it on a few LSX shootout engines.

The intake bolt pattern sez C5R or DR. Nice work Cary. Your intakes are pure quality
Pictures don't do them justice. Can't wait to see this intake in action.

Great comparison pics. I think the choice is obvious if you've got - or can make - room.

Badass. It would be interesting to see how it stacks up against the much taller Super Victory intake too.

Your correct on the bolt pattern Richard..

These pictures do no justice to this intake. There is no comparison between the two. If you can afford Cary's intake, its a way better setup.

LOL, I knew someone was going to ask that.....

I've got the tall hood from before (Joe Van Overbeek)....along with no cowl either. Fitment wont be an issue for me.

I've seen both, but don't have pictures. Like I said above, there is no comparison between Cary's intake and either the Super Vic or Victor Jr. Its like comparing apples to oranges. You get what you pay for from Cary, thats for certain.

Can you measure it from the pimp countertop to the top of the intake?
Looks like its 4-5 inches taller than the Vic jr.

I'll get that measured tomorrow. I'm at work now and won't be home until 2am.

Looks like a better designed piece, but that's what you'd expect.
In all fairness, the Vic Jr would look a lot better internally if it had been gone thru with sanding rolls like the Cary.

Cary's intake has alot more done than just sand rolls. WHen I met with him last friday, he showed me some AS-CAST intakes and there is a ton of material to remove. That Victor JR. still made good power for what it was....but the new one will be alot better overall.

Cary said it will fit under a stock hood, with some under-the-hood cutting and 90* swoop down type elbow.

Do you guys think the swoop down type elbow will kill the flow? Say a 105mm type TB on a 105 elbow.
