.060 over in a stock 6.0 ironblock possible??
i ran into a stroker kit at an awesome deal but it comes with .060 over pistons. is it possible to bore my engine out .060 over? it is an lq4 ironblock with 30k miles on it im going with l92 heads and a custom grind cam

well the block sits at .030 right now and 3 of the sleeves are scratched. .040 over pistons run me half of what the stroker kit costs so i might as well go all out with the .060

I believe the fastest LSx truck runs a 414 cid ( 60 over 4" stroke 6.0 iron) from HKE. It's not something we recommend but it can be done quite successfully.
We like to leave some clean up room in a block but if your not worried about a rebuild if something goes wrong then it shouldn't be a problem.
