Default 6.2 replacement aluminum block details

I've got this L92 (L94?) engine, 2008 I'm told. Block was busted. Little chance of salvage.
The question:
If I opt for a new GM bare block, does it come fully machined, and with cam bearings? I realize final honing for piston fit may be necessary, but is all other machine work like the deck, etc. done? I've searched, came up with zilch.
Anyone with experience on this subject?
Thanks.....

Can't say for sure about the LS3, but my LS2 replacement came with cam bearings. I checked the mains out and the diameters all looked good, so I sent the block off to be honed for piston fit and decking and it's been running like that for the last 4 or 5 years, no issues.

If its a BARE block then probably will not have the bearings. The machining should be done though, aside from sizing the pistons. Your best bet may be to look at a few salvage yards, ebay, or lkq

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I'll reach out for a dealer on Tuesday and see if I can get a definitive answer about the cam bearings.

Just a thought since its cheaper and more plentiful is to get an iron block and go .065 over.

Heh Heh.... great minds think alike....
That thought crossed my mind in just the past hour or so.
75 or 100 lbs. advantage? I'd REALLY rather have aluminum.... But $1,000+ difference... I dunno.

One of the sponsors put up the weight difference at 110 lbs compared to the aluminum.

Here's the thing. That LS3 is 58x tooth reluctor so you would have to change the wheel or get the converter box from Lingenfelter to run it in an F body or if you are going carb'd it don't matter. You didn't say what it is going in.

The blocks come with cam bearings installed.

Well thank you Kurt. I was hoping/thinking that would be the case, since it is a "replacement" block, you'd expect that it'd be ready to go.

Actually I haven't settled on a vehicle yet.
* Most likely to be my '82 S-15 PU, (no ECM whatsoever) and maybe even carbed. My goal with that would be to run as fast as now, yet be better mannered and quieter on the street, maybe even A/C and PS, etc.
* Possibly my '09 5.3 (58x) Colorado, practically a bolt-in, just a basic tune. Could even upgrade the exhaust after-the-fact. Also worry about beefing the 4L60 later, etc.
* or least likely, a different '09 or newer std. cab Colorado. I've seen some nice used "work truck" Colorados for CHEAP. I figure a GM V8 harness ($500 or so), a pre-tuned ECM to get it rolling, exhaust, a new beefed trans, probably a rear, and all the other usual swap PITA details that take forever....
