Default QM600 cam specs

starting the build on the new Z and debating on a camshaft.
had the qm600 in the last build but never got the specs since it was in the car when i got it.

Anybody know the specs or have a card on it so I can compare it to some others.

Reckart Performance in Austin dyno'd a Z06 with the QM600 cam, pulled it out due to driveability issues, and installed the Katech Torquer cam. While it lost a just a handful of rwhp over 6000 rpm, it picked up a ton of torque below 6000 rpm. At 3000 rpm, the increase was something line 70 ft lbs over the QM600.

Take a look at Katech torquer cam.

My brother has the QM black widow with the same issues. Drivabilty and gas mileage suck..but it did make 542whp with cats and stock exhaust.

Drivability in my previous C6Z was nothing close to bad with the QM600. It had no surging, and was very easy to drive in traffic. So I don't know why they had trouble. I'm really looking for the specs. But thanks for the info! The Torquer is a nasty bump stick.

Man, i wouldn't give anybody $50 for that cam. It is by far the worst in the torque department and has terrible driveability for even the best tuner. I have the cam card for ya if you really want it...

I believe they changed the specs slightly as they went. Mine was an early one:

242/254 .657"/.648" on a 113 +4

Mine does surge some on low throttle/low rpm (under 1,800 rpm) use. Still very driveable.

what are a few good LS7 cams now?

I'm running a QM600 and it pulls pretty damn good.
WCCH ported LS7 heads, ported intake, 1 7/8" headers, 90mm TB, 4" straight intake.
