You're going to find a few guys on here with big cube ITB set-ups - RAMPANT (455 Harrop), Stage7 (468 Jenvey) and myself (460 Kinsler). Cost and tuning are the biggest issues with them. All 700-800ish builds. Depending on the combo, they make alot of power in relatively low rpm....less than 7k. Air filtration is another challenge. While Harrop and Jenvey have filters or boxes, Kinsler does not....just screened bonnets. Street driving is unlike anything I've ever experienced N/A. Immediate throttle response, power at will....plus they're cool to look at

Yeah but for Mast intake $$$ you could get Titanium valves and T&D-Jesel rocker arms.It would also look Vintage and have as much hp to Boot! Look at the power of Mr. 700 rwhp What is he using and it's with a 102 T/B Think 4150 more hp and 4500 ........I think it would be great with whichever one you chose I'm like the ideas the guy's are coming up with....Now waiting to see a 454ci or larger engine with 13.1 E85 setup and a 730+ Solid roller for the street .

Heads that are designed with steeper intake valve jobs (50-55 degrees) for high lift flow should be relegated to race car duty only using at least .800" lift.

There's a Katech build on here somewhere where they took a 500 cubic inch LS engine with LS7 heads and a Kinsler intake and made right at 700hp...

Ok I can see how that would make cam selection a bit tough....So Brian what intake and tb would you put on top a set of, say Mast 305 black lable ls7 heads? I guess my three top options are the mast 4500 with an accufab 4500 tb, the kinsler cross ram, and the holley hi-ram....I am so conflicted at this point...the intakes are all so different

My vote goes to the Holley Hi-Ram.
You should be seeing some results from my build very soon. Which is a Holley Hi-Ram, 454 LSX, Frankenstein Racing Brodix BR7 (LS7 style heads), Jessel Rockers, Hydraulic Roller, .700 lift cam, and runs off 93 pump gas.
Will make over 700 at the crank.

Build has been on hold but should have the truck back from the chassis shop on the 21st and then be installing the motor/trans. Will be at the track by the fall or bust!

The Kinsler is incredible....expensive....and like many ITBs, a pain to tune, but doable. No track times yet, but for bench racing discussions, my 460 RHS fbody build with a conservative, not done yet tune, put down 615 on a Mustang that's a consistent mid 600 on any Dynojet locally. Peak torque bounced off of 540, thru a 9", catted full 3" dual exhaust and 90+% humidity....and all under 6800. HUGE Mast heads (not advertised) and a spec'd hyd cam from Crane. Still playing with some drivability tuning, but the throttle response and at will power was worth the aggravation....AND it's pretty!
I have a throttle linkage setup figured out and if interested can hook you up with the same deal. Can also hook you up with the guys at Kinsler...lol, we're on a first name basis now

My last reply was on Johnson lifters: Morel/Lunat comparison, they do also have cheaper versions of the Johnson lifter with needle bearings as most standard hyd lifters do, I just was happy to see a needle less bearing for HYD. lifters.
