Default How will this cam work? Ls2 gto

Hey guys I am most likely going to have a cam specd for my ls2 gto but I have a friend that has this one out of his 06 gto.

My engine mods
06 M6 LS2 gto.
Lingenfelter cai, ported tb, ported ls2 intake, kooks 1 3/4 Lt, catted mids, magnaflow cat back, tune. Made 385rwhp 387rwtq

The cam he has is a comp 54-457-11
LSR lobes 223/231 .610/.617 112.

His made 450rwhp with l92 top end.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Do you plan on doing heads at some point?

I have a similar cam (230 exhaust duration, +2 advanced) and it performs very well with ported heads and FAST intake. The power comes on real well just over 3k rpm, so it's got good down low oomph. And drives like stock, idles smoothly at 650rpm and lugging the car at 1200rpm down the street and there's no bucking or anything.

yeah my biggest concern is that I still have the stock 243's and ls2 intake.

That won't make much of a difference when it comes to the this cam. Should still run well down low. Don't expect it to make crazy numbers on the dyno though.

I wouldn't worry much. At least you've got the LS2 intake ported!
