Cylinder Head Porting in Florida
I'm building a pretty hot street/strip 408ci Gen IV iron block with L92 heads. Does anyone know of a shop that is known to port LS heads out well? I go to school in North Florida and my full time house is in South Florida so it doesn't matter where they are. I'm concerned with quality of work as you get what you pay for and I'm not naive to that fact. Please let me know your opinions of whatever shops you recommend too, guys.

Thanks guys I'll have to give them all a look. Anyone have any experience with 408 ' s with ls3 heads? I'm going all motor and spray. Probably a little shot on the street and keep the big shots for the track where I'll actually have traction. Just wondering what kind of numbers yall are getting with that combo. I'm thinking a callies crank and oliver rods maybe if it's worth it. Anyway, thanks for the references and happy new year.

A properly built engine can do 9's, 10's if the car is lite and set up right, spray could get a 8. All depends on how good the short block / heads / cam / valve train / & intake are spec'ed out and built.

If your wanting a all out LS3 head I don't think you'll find anything that can beat a PRC 260cc aftermarket casting cylinder head. They feature altered valve angles, relocated valves, relocated spark plug, billet rocker mounting, thicker decks, smaller chambers & even free upgrade to hollow stem valves!!
In fact we can do a lot of milling on them & still give you 380cfm capability & better than stock p/v!!
How do you beat that?

I'm back
Sorry I took so long to reply. I think I know who to send them too now. Thanks for the information guys. Much appreciated for sure. I've been looking around on the forums here about max overbore on a 2010 6.0L block that will get a decent amount of spray eventually. What's the consensus? Keep it around .030 over because of the nitrous or can you go further? This is my first LS so I'm trying to make sure everything is done right. I'd rather not rebuild a motor constantly. Trying to get every ounce of power out of it but keep the car relatively streetable. Not a daily driver. I wanna drive around occasionally but I'm trying to keep times as low as reasonably possible. Yall know what I mean.
