(labor)cam kit cost vs (labor)cam and heads cost
Okay I purchased the FAST lsxr 102mm intake, throttle body, and fuel rail kit. Melling 296 Oil Pump, c5r Timing chain, SLP intake box, Headers and y pipe, SLP Loudmouth Exhaust, and QTP electric cut-out for my 2000 ls1 Ws6.. I know I am going to get a Cam, probably upper mild level, but my main concern is I believe my 2000 T/A has 241 heads and I should probably upgrade to the 243 heads?what would you predict my power difference would be 241 vs 243? Labor wise how much more would it cost to have heads installed when im already having them do the oil pump, cam, and timing chain? Sorry if my post rambles, its my first soooo

If you are changing lifters then the heads have to come off anyway making the labor difference negligible. I run ported 241's myself and my car makes decent power, lots of guys have crested 400 whp with 241 heads. If you have the 243's and don't mind the extra labor, or are changing lifters might as well bolt them on.

I went with the 243 heads fully ported and polished. My car is an A4 with 3.23 I believe or whatever is in the stock WS6. I'm sorry for the delayed reply. I am wondering what is the best deal I can get on a 12 bolt, 9", or Dana 60 and where. The reason I ask is because I believe I'll be running around 450hp with my 10 bolt and am afraid it will bust under that power. Any suggestions? And best bang for buck? My engine is ready to go back in my car and if yall wanna see a pic of it just look on my profile. Thanks
