Need help: Stock ls2 bottom End with 59cc patriot heads
Ok guy's, i just got a Ls2 took bottom end and I have a set of patriots Ls6 heads that are 59cc and I was wondering what the compression ratio would be with these patriot heads on. I'm not very good with the compression ratio calculator online and was hoping some one could help out. I'm still wanting to run the car on pump gas so I can't go to high with the compression. Also , I'd like to know how thick the gasket would need to be with these heads to be around 11.3:1 compression. Thanks a lot and have a good one guys

I'm no expert, but from what I read 11.76:1 would probably be really good on 93 oct...why would you want to go lower?
Also, IF your pistons are truly zero deck (I thought they stick out of the bore a few thou?) the 0.065 head gasket would open your quench more than you want....I think the thinner gasket would be close to ideal.
Have you checked Piston to Valve? What does your cam manufacturer say about all of this?

I would get some knowledgeable opinions (vendors like CamMotion, Brian Tooley, Lonnie @ Texas Speed) local engine builders, etc). We might be splitting hairs here
If the compression/Quench is really and issue just smooth/soften the combustion chambers to gain back a few cc's.
