Default ls2 block with ls6 parts into f body?

Hey everyone its been a long time, but i am getting back into the ls world. I want sure where to put this but since my question is about a gen 4 at the core i thought this was a good place. So can I put everything on my late model ls1 onto an ls2 block; crank, rods, heads, intake, sensors; and run on on the stock f body computer without tuning? Or would be easier to find an ls2 harness and computer?

All that stuff will work, valley cover will not. You'll need to mount the knock sensors on the sides of the block. LS1 PCM will work fine.

Is there an adapter harness that needs to be used and looking on pace performance the ls1 knock sensors are different then the ls2, so I'm assuming like the above post said I will have to use the ls2 knock sensors

You need a ls2 front cover as well. You'll need a cam extension harness as well. I would personally delete the knock sensors. Do more harm than good.

You'll want to use the ls1 knock sensors & the center bottom 8mm bolt holes in the block need to be drilled with an 11/32 drill bit & tapped to 10mm x 1.5. They go here

You can use the LS2 knock sensors but you need an 02 pcm & they require tuning.

Ya I was doing a lot of reading up on this and consensus says that the stock ls1 KS is the easiest and best way to go. My car is an 02 but don't want the hassle of that headache. That ls1 front cover can't be reused, y not for my own learning?

Ls2 uses a cam sensor that picks up on the timing gear in the front.

You need to replace
Reluctor wheel to 24x
Cam gear 1x
Ls2 front timing cover or get a 2 piece from jegs for 149 bucks
Ls1 knock sensors
Ls2 cam sensors
Ls1 map sensor with modifitcation
