Default Place your bets !

My new motor (Built for street use) has just landed, will be installed very soon.
OK, for you guru's out there.
I am going to dyno as soon as i've broken in the engine.
Step up and have a guess on the output FWHP or RWHP, I will post the results as soon as possible.
Better give you a few specs.
Fully forged 4 bolt, 11.5:1 compression, LE3's, Edelbrock LT4 intake, 2.05 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves, 242/248 580/580 112 cam.
Going thu; Performabuilt L2 with 3500 billet to Midwest fab 9 3.73.
I'm pretty excited its coming together, cant wait to try it out.
Prob change my nitrous setup for a 200 spray.
Will also post pics of entire install.
Guess Im just sharing my excitement

The Automatic and 9" are going to rob alot of power, However dont let dyno numbers get you down. Your ET and MPH will speak for themself. Im going to guess 430 rwhp and around the same in torque. The car is going to move! Goodluck

Default Thanks for your input.

I will post the results as soon as possible.
I just hope I can get everything set up before winter sets in.
Well to be honest I got a couple of scores to settle with some (fast) jap cars.

The numbers will be here as soon as pos. I'm itching to get back into my car...
The workshop has two porsche' s and a merc and bmw m3 before mine...
They haven't got their priorities right ..............
I'll pay them a visit this weekend and take some pics of the contents in the crates and post them here (quite a lot of stuff), if you guys dont mind.

Also thanks to you guys who have been brave enough to post an estimate....

You just gotta love this site

Hmmm... I wonder what she'll do at the strip.....

I dont know why you came down on me like that..
I own two Z28's, a '79 and 96. I belong to a few UK American car clubs, and visit European American car forums.
You may think seniment is not that great, but believe me, the circles I move in hold your country in great esteem.
Not saying what you hear is incorrect, but the bigger picture is what counts.
Yeah I'm p*ssed that they are working on the other stuff first, but then again they were there before me.
And as for me... Just for the record...
I will take American Muscle over any of that German or Jap poo...

WOOOO Bro, I'm not coming down on you at all. Just giving an alternative reason as to why the shop you have doing your work is prioritizing the German and Jap stuff over your beauty. Don't take this the wrong was as it was by no means directed at you. I hope your build get's finished soon as I am right there with you and want to see the finished product.

My bad..........
In all fairness the workshop that I have taken my car to is a Porsche/Merc/BMW performance specialist, so that's the only cars they normally see. I still reckon they should do mine first tho'
I wouldn't trust my Z with just any workshop, American performance shops are few and far between here.
They literally jumped at the chance of working on my Camaro..
They are used to working with 2 & 3 litre stuff.
I can tell you they sh*t their pants when they worked out what 396ci is ....
The guys there have even taken pictures of my motor when they opened the crate, I havent even seen it myself yet
I'll keep you all updated...
