Default LS4 MCSS vs. 08 Civic

So I was just cruising down in the valley with a buddy, coming back from a girl's house in Bell Canyon, and a black 08 Civic goes racing by replete with god-awful stickers and fart cannon exhaust. It even had one of those Titanium-look-a-like flame tips.

His windows were tinted so dark I couldn't even see in the car at night. He noticed my car and slowed down. He stayed even with me for a couple seconds and he could tell I was game. So we catch a stoplight....no traffic around...pretty quiet...cop check, none present. He pegs his car, bouncing it off the rev-limiter, I just brake stall to 2500 and wait for the light.

Light goes green, he spins and makes all this racket coming from his 1.8 liters of fury. I roll out casually as to not spin, then I felt traction and punched it with the car in 1st. I immediately pull ahead hard, around 2-3 cars, and once I shifted into 2nd, it was near a buslength. I shut it down around 75, way ahead of him (intersection in about another 600 feet) and sure enough I get the ricer fly-bly at like 90, with him driving super close to my car. He got stuck next to me at the light and I rolled my window even more to talk....the guy wouldn't even roll down his super tinted window to talk.

He got stuck at another stoplight and I hopped on the freeway and gave him a little wave.

I'm Intake/3" Exhaust/3" downpipe/1.8 Harland Sharps Rockers/Comp Pushrods/Comp 918 Springs/TBS/Ported TB/Tune/Lowered with SSC springs/KYB Adjustables.....pretty mild but it surprises people.

Good kill on a civic. My car tried to eat an si today. I have to say I like monte carlos though. It tripped me out when I found out they were front wheel drive. I was watching some burnouts and a new mcss pulled up and started spinnin the hell out of the front tires. Craziness.

FWD sucks for dig racing against any car that would be close to our power level. But I surprise a lot of people from a 20 roll.

yeah I have a friend here in town that has a grand prix gxp and I raced him not to long ago. I beat him by quite a bit, but he couldn't get traction. We went one more time from about 25 or so, but that is a good spot for my car, so he got beat again. Have to admit though, car has some ***** to it.

Yeah it has a little something to it for a DD....no match against any really high HP car unless someone makes a mistake. Its all in the element of surprise.

#5 Nacho SS -----13.3X@106.X (CAI/Catback/Tune-2.0X)
https://ls1tech.com/forums/ls4-performance/809513-top-15-ls4-1-4-mile-times.html

This was with a different MCSS before I had the internal mods/Catless 3" exhaust/Updated tune/TB mods.....the other car was K&N/Magnaflow catback/Tune/Stock suspension.

Now I probably should be able to pull times because I can launch harder and this car just feels stronger overall with a new tune. I want to get back to the track but most are far away from me.
