Default Avoiding heatsoak w/ a Metal Cai.

Well i picked up a CAI w/ metal tubing and I was wondering what I could wrap around the piping to prevent heatsoak


would this work

I would check into dynamat heat barrier such as used on underside of hood.

that should work or you can always get it cermaic coated

I have a polished vortec intake elbow and I wonder the same thing about the IAT reading a hotter temp because of heat soak...

Just buy some mandrel bent aluminun and make your own, thats what I did.

bought an ebay kit already , judt dont want heatsoak...ill just wrap some header tape around it

Aluminum would heat up and cool down more quickly due to it's thermal properties.
