I drive it pretty regular, I go to a cruise in every year in Miss. I put 465 miles on it in 3.5 days at that cruise, almost all of it in heavy traffic.

No bottle, tried that. It didnt like it. Its all in a box on the shop floor. Wanna buy it? Big shot NOS 4150 carb kit. COmplete kit with extras $450. Also have a stand alone fuel system to go with it. Fuel system is extra.

Dont take this the wrong way guys, none of you on this post did it....but I was criticized by many for being stuck in the 11.DOH's, 11.02@123. WIth this "MONSTER" LMAO 383 I have.

I loosen the converter run .15 quicker and walla! I knew it had it in the car, the MPH says so.

But it seems none of those guys are here to give me congrats

Thanks guys, it has a 10.70 in it.....I will get it to.

Bret Bauer estimates an easy 600 hp at the flywheel, I think its kinda cool. 23* heads and pumpgas.

It feels good when you realize the goal you initially set out to achieve. Alot of high end engine guys and head porters though I was crazy, said I flat couldnt do it at 3700 lbs....wellllll guess what. That makes it even better.

Nice times buddy. I am going to pickup my block from the machine shop this week and start assembly this weekend. I am building a 383 with an Eagle forge crank, H-beams and forged -5cc Flattops.I wanted to know what rod bolts di you end up using on your build and are you running a small base circle cam or standard? LMK Thanks Clint

Small base circle cam.

Arp makes a 1/2 head rod bolt that makes it alot easier to clearance the block. The bolt head is very short.

I run the standard Eagle 4340 rotating assembly, same rods as you. I bought the shortblock second hand, it was already done.
