What kind of cams are you guys running with out flycutting with a 59cc chamber and stock bottom, also what head gaskets are you using? Asking for a friend. Thanks in advance!

They are milled to 59cc's, and the pistons arent flycut? This is perfect, we were wondering how big of a cam can fit without flycutting on a stock gm mls gasket. He is under the impression he cant run more than a 220/224 .550" lift cam, while I am trying to tell him can run a bigger cam, I'm just not sure how big.

With TFS heads you will be able to run a bigger cam without flycutting because the valve angle is different on the TFS heads (I think 15 degrees, but for the life of me cant remember!)
Also black01_WS6 what are your PTV clearances like? Have they been measured? What size valves are you running in the LS6 heads as that will dictate alot with the PTV clearance as well.

A 224ish cam is safe, but I personally just for piece of mind wouldn't go much bigger than a 228/230 with around 600 lift.

I have the partior peformance stage 2.5's my PTV clearances were close but I had a little room for a larger cam, but not much larger. I think I have a pretty good setup that the parts work together not just thrown together.
I think a G5X1 would be perfect with sopme 59cc heads.
I think for a street car, a small cc head and a mild cam works better than the huge donkey dick cam only cars out there. It all comes down to power under the curve on the street.

To be completely honest with you, I'm not sure if they are milled or welded. I got in touch with one of the guys from speed inc and he hooked me up with these heads and a 224 cam at that time. This cam is on 112 +4 using stock head gaskets. I personally never checked PTV on it, my shop checked everything and said that it would work fine....so I believed them. I'm also running mine on a ls1 intake () so I don't get to enjoy the upper rpm range like I should get to. The ls1 intake killed me on the dyno! What kind of numbers did you get? Do you have your dyno sheet? What's your setup like?
This cam is sweet!! It's amazing, and pulls forever! I still enjoy driving this car everyday! If I cared about gas mileage I'd get a Prius or something.

Not enough PTV. and not a TV2 112 (at least not safely). Clearing piston (not hitting) and safe PTVC are 2 different things.
