Default Best Deals on Handguns in DFW?

I've been wanting to get a Springfield Armory XD 40 for a while now and my apartment just got broken into today so i guess now's the best time to go ahead and pick one up. Just wondering where'd i'd find the best deal on one in the DFW area?

you werent there were you?

in all honesty, unless youve got a concealed carry. they may have gotten your pistol while in there. something to think about.

i wasn't home. And yeah that's something to think about. I'm gonna reinforce my door jamb so it cant be kicked in again. But i'd still feel safer owning a handgun.

if your not going to carry it, then just get a shotgun. 100x better than a handgun in any kind of close quarters, "safer", and cheaper.

Give Bachmann Pawn and Gun a call and check their prices. BTW, a dead bolt might help some.

and ur less likely to go to jail for killing ur neigbors when that .40 slug goes through the walls in ur apt... Get a 20 gauge less likely to go through alot of walls. 18.5 inch shotguns are the best home defense weapons... but if u are stuck on the handgun look at the XDM .40 i want one of those next but ill wait to see if they make it in .45 ACP nothing better then a good ole .45 i love my G21.........

if your set on a pistol inside, might want to look at that pistol that shoots .45 ( i think) and .410 shotgun slugs and buckshot in the same bore. think its Taurus that makes it? its goofy looking, but the video they have shooting a target from 15ft is straight up NASTY.
just a thought..

I had a dead bolt lol. They kicked the door in and broke the door frame. I'm looking into getting a steel door frame reinforcement.

I've been thinking about picking up a 12 gauge but i'd still like to have a pistol as well. BTW isnt it illegal in texas to have a shotgun that hold more than 3 shells?

its illegal to hunt game with a shotgun that can be loaded more then 3 shells, i.e. u pulled the plug out, but for anything else no its totally legal, just if ur out dove hunting or whatever and a game warden pulls up on ya he better not be able to load more then 3 shells at that time into ur gun.....someone mentioned the taurus judge a cpl posts up, dont waste your time on it, its more novelty then anything, it chambers .45 LONG COLT rounds and .410 shotgun shells but in testing the only effective personal defense round was the .45 long cult, the shot gun shells wouldnt penetrate enough to be considered effective, it does look wicked cool on targets though and u can shoot skeet with a pistol that way lol....If ur stuck on a pistol though look into a .45acp chambered one, The XD45 is nice, if springfield makes the xdm in 45 ill get one then, but the regular xd can be had in .45. If you can get a comfortable grip on the GLOCK Model 21 .45acp id sugest it slightly over the XD.....I love mine, it just has a massive grip. But its accurate as hell, holds 13+1 rounds, RUGGED, DEPENDABLE, NEVER JAMS!!!! GLOCKs, are some of the best personal defense guns, when u have to pick out a personal defense gun u want top quality, something you know is going to fire every time u pull the trigger, a glock is that gun. Throw it in the mud, pick it up and fire, throw it in the sand, pick it up and fire, throw it from a moving car, pick it up and fire. So like i said if u can grip it get the G21, if not get an XD cause if Glock is a 9.5 out of 10 the XD is a 9.3 our of 10, very good guns....

I'm wanting to pick up a .50 AE just for the pure fact that I'd only need one shot to stop anybody. I've had 4 Glocks and have loved every one of them. No complaints, and the 21 .45 is a good choice as well for personal protection. I'm out of law enforcement for now, so the .50 is something I wouldn't get in trouble with my old dept. for carrying off duty.

Gun show on the 12 I believe will be your best deals..
you can walk in there with cash, and get a hell of a deal...
You will want to stay till the end.. Go and talk with a few guys who have the guns you want... Then towards the end of the show they will start making great deals, especially if they have not sold alot.

+1 on Bachman Pawn and Gun. They've got a great selection and good prices. They're usually at the gun shows with great deals there as well.
