How does everyone feel about Hifonics Amps?
My roommate has a 1200watt Hifonics 2-Channel Amp with two(2) Rockford Fosgate Punch 12" subs in a Ported double stacked box.
It sounds rather incredible to be honest. I know it hasn't been abused. And the box is a competition box.
It makes my guts hurt standing outside the truck about 10' back...
Anyways I've been researching the Hifonics amps and haven't found too much bad about them, just wanted some extra oppinions...
Also he is asking $250 for the complete setup, and I'll be sticking it in the Bimmer

I carry Hifonics and have used several in the past. They make good power and are fairly clean, especially for bass applications. Like Dragonrage said model number would be helpful as they do have different levels of amps just like any other company. I generally stick to the Brutus series amps if I use Hifonics. I've had good luck with their Zeus amps as well but that was a customer who asked specifically for that amp, it did fine. They are a decent bang for the buck amp IMO.

I've used them for over 15 years. I know Autotech and Hifonics are made by the same company. I've used both. I think PPI as well. Not sure on PPI. Hifonics makes some high end amps and are pretty durable. The Brutus models are their budget amps, but in my experience, are very reliable and clean sounding as well. I don't think you can go wrong with a Hifonics amp.
