THANKS for the kind words! What was the Troopers name? I might know him/her, but there are about 3K of us so probably not. I gave ALOT of warnings on Christmas eve and day. I was giving till 20mph over for warnings. Mind you, it was only for Christmas though.

I had a trooper in Waller pull me over for no front plate and give me a ticket for window tint... I was doing the speed limit in the right lane. My experience wasn't as exciting as yours

I am out of Midland. Didn't hear of anything extremely excessive, but we got 1 last week doing 103 in a vette. He said later that he was already slowing down and that he had been going 145. Suprised he stopped. I usually get 1 or 2 per week around 100. It's about a $300-$400 ticket, . Midland County tried to turn around on a Newer GT Mustang doing 130 and lost it, maybe that was it.

At what point these days are speeders in jeopardy of being hooked up...speed wise? Seemed to me years ago it was said that anything above 25 over speed limit and was a discretionary call..? I worked in a reserve status while going to school with Harris county...my Dad was a Trooper, and served with the Rangers at the end of his tenure with the state. Grandfather, and uncle also were Troopers....a whole gaggle of them..lol.

I've been pulled over many times (zero since i stopped driving the camaro 3 years ago) by TX state troopers and only had problems with one. And by problem I don't mean he gave me a ticket for something that I was actually doing. I've been let off, or given a citation for exactly what I was doing a few times, and I consider that to be no problem. They were all polite and respectful, as was I.
Except for that one incident. I dunno if it was short man syndrome or just a bad day, but it was a pathetic demonstration of abusing one's power. I still have the utmost resect for law enforcement, but that bitter taste will never go away.
