Just ordered Moser 12 w/ 3.90 gears. Should I go w/ 4.11?

Just ordered Moser 12 w/ 3.90 gears. Should I go w/ 4.11? They won't order it until tomorrow so I have a little bit of time. I ordered a Moser 12 bolt with all the upgrades and Richmond 3.90 gears instead of 4.11. I will be finishing the 1/4 mile at 5900 rpm's if I trap 116 or 117. With 4.11 I would go through at 6200 rpm's at 117. What do you think? I am looking to the future and taking into account that I might be doing additional mods that will bump up my mph. Some guys have run as much as 4.30 but they all mention that they get no traction on the street. I figure it was a good compromise. Also, the 3.90 allow me to do 86 mph at 2200 rpms instead of 82 mph. I think over 2200 rpms is the point where gas milage starts to suffer and I tend to drive 86 to 90 often.

Should I go w/ 4.11? it sounds to me you allready know what you want.i had 3.73's and just went to the 4.10's.every one told me to go 4.10 the first time and i did'nt listen,know i just spent $350.00 to have 4.10's put in.you know what I SHOULD OF WENT 4.10'S THE FIRST TIME,YOU SHOULD TOO. goodluck to ya man.

Adding a few mph from future mods will still having you crossing at just 6300 or 6400 rpm. Also the future mods will probably cause your power band to be extended in the top end so you'll want extra rpms.

DON'T FEAR THE GEAR! 4.30S OR 4.56S baby....
When the 10 breaks the 12 bolt will have 4.10's.

Re: Just ordered Moser 12 w/ 3.90 gears. Should I go w/ 4.11? If you run out of gear, get taller tires. An extra 2" in diamter is worth about 8-10mph with 4:10's going from 26-28".
