I just got my car back with a 402 making 516 at the wheels with a 4l60e and a tenbolt 3800 stall. it has lots of goodies though. we are not done with the tune yet it should be close to 540 or more when done I hope.

its easy on a stroker, but with stock cubes its much harder.
there are only 2 guys off the top of my head who have done it, Pat G is one i think. and then a vette guy down in florida i think.

I came very close with my old 346 490 rwhp 445 rwtq. A lightweight single disk clutch and lighter flywheel probably could've manipulated my numbers into the 500 club but I wanted to drive my car worry free when it came to clutch failure, which is why I chose the exedy twin plate. I also had plans of doing a 402. Numbers very soon on the 402.
Have your friend look into some Tony Mamo re worked AFR 205's, mill heads to get around 11.5 or 11.6 to 1 compression a healthy cam should do the trick. Don't forget about some LG Pro longtubes minus cats, lgm big 3 catback, ud pully, ewp, Vararam cai, ported 92 mm FAST with a 92 mm tb. You are going to need every bolt on there is to have a good chance at 500 rwhp. I would aloso research the use of TFS 215's, that is if you don't want to pay the $$$ to have Tony rework a set of afr 205's.

Then you probably won't get the 500 rwhp you are looking for, unless you are willing to run closer to 12:1 compression and add torco at every fill up. JMHO, but Pat G would be the expert.
