Default 2010 or 98-02?

So, I have the fever for another hotrod. I have had two LT1s and a 2001 SS that I LOVED (mods in sig). I know enough at this point that I wouldnt bother with an LT1...well....just because. But I am divided on wether to buy now and pickup a good deal on an SS or WS6, or to wait it out until I can pick up a lightly used 2SS car.... decisions decisions....

What do you guys think I should do? Sucks to wait, and I figure I could have alot done to an LS1 car by the time used '10s are around.....BUT it wont be that nice updated interior LS3 etc...and its a been there done that thing with the 4th gens...so I dunno...

The new Camaro will be far superior in every way. If I were you, I would just wait until you can afford one of them. I really can't imagine anyone being disappointed in this car.

Modding will be expensive when aftermarket parts first come out like everything. Honestly id rather buy a nice built 69' then a retro version. The new ones don't do it for me.

Well,i guess you sound like you really want a 10, just need the patience, so if you already have an f-bod, just wait. THe new one is truely a whole new beast. Its gonna be like comparing a GTO to a 98-02 f-bod,not really in the same catagory, meant to appeal i think to a different class of people, except for the hardcores like us who will buy it cause its the Beast and we want it.

I will be buying another 4th gen once I sell my GTO. I will order a 5th gen in a couple years. I'd like to have both at the same time, but with planning to buy a house in the next year or so, it'd probably be beneficial not to have a $30k car note.

The best time to buy a 4th gen will be in the next year or so when people will be selling and trading for the 5th gen. There will be a lot of nice 4th gens available.

Like what some of the other posters said, the 2010 is going to be mind blowing with modern handling and power. For me, money is an issue as a college student, but for many others, its what you need. I'd be damn fine with an LS1 for a few years.

Just don't buy an LS1, and then a few months later, knew you really wanted the LS3, and wished you had but the money towards the newer car
