I've been following this (silently, lurkingly) and want to see two pics: one before one after.

Well done on getting it all together. I love the way it looks!

i don't exactly have pics of before but here is the drivers seat before i removed the upholstery.

and the rear seats which don't show how bad the top of them were. there were several places where the stitching had separated on the top of the seat.

the after pic of the upper rear seat is above, here's the front seats

and the lower rears

the color of the seats is the same as the rear seat pics in the house. the flash in the car makes the seats look lighter than they are

Can you update your other thread?

the shop ended up getting the seats put together properly at a cost of another $200 and 4 hours. (he charges $100/hr and said it took 4 hrs but only charged $200)

well technically no. they charged me $200 to finish assembling the seats, which i do feel is kind of steep considering the circumstances.. especially when i went to pick them up and the headrests werent installed and the guy was like "oh you can just pop those in when you get home"

yeah except that those clips actually serve a purpose in these cars.. they hold the headrests up. so after installing one of the headrests in the drivers seat AFTER i installed it in the car, i found this out and had to drive back to the shop to get the pins (its a good thing he didnt throw them away) and disassemble the back of both seats to get the pins in.

so yeah i was a little miffed and tried to get him to give me some of my money back when i went to get the pins but of course he wasn't there and just left the pins in a piece of paper taped to his garage door (guy works out of his detatched garage at his house)

so yeah i think i spent a bit too much considering i took him the seats unassembled. if i would have known it would have ended up costing $450 i would have not bothered disassembling the seats myself.

oh and if you were wondering, this is the handle i was referring to. the bolt stripped on the old one trying to get it off and we had to basically destroy it to remove it. on top of that, the nut that's welded to the seat broke loose so i had to jb weld that back in place. i really wasn't sure if it was gonna hold well enough to get another handle back on there, but it did

Quick Reply: got the handle for my seat today and finshed installing the rest of my seats
