Default Drivers Side TB Hose???

ignore the title i meant passenger side What is the hose that runs from the passenger side of the TB to the valvecover? I think its cracked because my engine is running horribly at idle.

UPDATE: Found out the name. Its the CCV hose. explains the problems im experiencing

It could be the vaccum line though if you're running bad now. Get a new line if it is.

Theres also a crank case pressure vent line. If there's a build-up of pressure it'll vent back to the intake that way, also oil goes back into the intake that way too.

Take pics if you can.

if the pressure line is damaged would that affect the car at startup or idle?

Just the vacuum line would cause issues with idle and start-up.

but i didnt touch the vaccum line at all. i messed up the pressure line and had to use a connector to make it fit. i did notice the oil pressure fluctuating a lot so i think the line is the problem. also idle sounded way different, like it wanted to cut out

I'm not sure which lines you're talking about. Are you stock? Is the PCV system stock?

Tale pics if you can.

Damn, thats a 1995. Others will have better knowledge of that year than me.

Maybe an "air pump", which is used only at start-up, if its like the 1998+ LSx's.

Do you mean the hose that connects to the TB where the word "throttle" is in that picture?

Thats a big hose. I don;'t think any LS1's have a hose that large connecting to the TB or the intake.

That is the fresh air line for the crankcase, it allows air into the crankcase which is then drawn out through the PCV valve on the driver's side of the intake manifold. If it has any cracks in it it must be replaced, as it causes a vacuum leak, which can cause a rough idle as well as other problems.
