Why does noone make a budget throttle body?
Everything I can find is damn billet aluminum and priced outrageous. Why does no one make a cast piece similar to stock in 90mm? Not everyone has to have a polished piece of aluminum to be satisfied...
You can find import throttle bodies on ebay all day long for $200 or less new. Is there anything for ls1 engines that isn't overpriced? And I thought headers were bad...

the edlebrock 90mm does fit fast and ya just delete it and put a breather filter on it and run it down to leak on ground instead of back in your intake fawing ur plugs

I think you want to plumb that line between the MAF and throttle body if you keep the rest of your PCV system. Otherwise you will pull unmetered air into the motor. Kind of like a big vacuum leak.

they say the 80mm is to be used on stock intakes and the 85mm is for the Typhoon and other aftermarket intakes
I did get my fast in the mail today, looks to be in great shape!

The 85mm will fit the LS1, LS6, and the PP intake but I don't know about the Fast. It comes with a plate that necks it down a small amount and is about 1/2" thick so the TB blade will move with out hitting anything. The plate could be removed for a 85mm opening but I don't know how it would work for a 90mm. Hope this helps.

why would you put anything smaller than 90 on a Fast "90" i mean come on guys your defeating the purpose of the intake, if your going to run a 85 TB just get the 85 mani from Pro-Products

according to the results I've seen on this site, there is about 5hp difference between a fast 78 and a fast 90 on the top end, an 85 mm would further narrow that gap
aside from that: it's still lighter, it's easily ported and cleaned up, less likelihood of heat soak (debatable but whatever), and on top of that should be good for more power
I'm cam only coming from a ls1 intake so it will be a huge improvement, but the fact of the matter is was was looking to spend $300 on an ls6...not $500 on a fast plus $3-400 for a stupid billet tb. If I can get a tb for under $200 I'd be happy. Then I could keep an eye out for a deal on a 90mm throttle body if I wanted.
I just don't care for throwing money around personally, especially if it's just because it "looks pretty" or "is billet aluminum".
