Default "BRAKE" light won't go Off?!?

My "BRAKE" light on my dash for my e-brake will not go away. I'm sure my e-brake is all the way down. What could be causing the light to stay on???

This. Pull up the console and look for the switch, bend as needed.

Anyone know how to get the e-brake handle off?? I raised it and looking from the driver side, see a small circle, but there isn't any spot for a torx head or phillips, etc.. It's just smooth.

EDIT: I finally found some stuff on it.. guess it's riveted.. great..
