For anyone with a vic jr intake on their LS1 how did you go about hooking up the MAP sensor? Thanks.

Make you a little "L" bracket that bolts to one of the intake/carb flange bolts and mount it to that in the back.

I used the stock one. Mounted it on the firewall above the back of the engine. I took off the orange rubber and used 3/8 hose. I didn't have to make a bracket, I've cut my cowling back so I just cut a notch in the cowling left at the firewall that the MAP would slide on. I'll have pics on my build thread tomm.

Anyone know the size of these fittings? And correct size hose? My car is about 30 miles away, and I only work on it on the weekends. Dont want to make the drive for a measurement if someone else has the knowledge available. Thanks

Well, i'm not sure what you're setup is now but here is how I did it on my old setup, just ran it directly in the elbow

And on the new setup I needed to run a spacer to clear my fogger and just drilled a hole into the spacer and mounted it in there (you can see the blue labed on the sensor just below the tps sensor)

The larger one is probably 1/2" (maybe 3/8") and the smaller is 1/8". Both are NPT.

the fitting is 3/8" NPT thread by 1/4" barb (brass) and the hose is standard 1/4" hose. you'll have to remove the orange rubber that's on the stock MAP port and the hose will fit snuggly.

Forgot to mention earlier... If you're running a throttle bottle or carb make you sure you check the spacing before you get your fittings. Depending on what you've got, you may have to get some low profile fittings.

Its just sitting, its not really set like that. He's gotta raise it back up to drive it. Not that it'll ever run anyway.

This motha fuka right her^^^^. haah. That hurts coming from a guy who wants to sell his f-body for a ***** *** corvette. Yea he is right though, I probably wont be able to drive it the way it sits, the torque arm loop is about 4 inchs off the ground. So it will be coming back up another good 1.5 inchs. I will keep that in mind, but im sure it will be ok. Im running the edelbrock elbow with a holley 90mm TB. tons of room .

Nice picture. I hope you get crabs.

Missed your call tonight, I was busy losing money at the poker table. They frown on cell phone use during the game.
