Default 69 camaro ls1 swap help needed.

IVE GOT THE LS1/6MT RUNNING IN THE FIRST GEN. RUNS LIKE CRAP THOUGH. F/P IS GOOD 55-60 PSI, NO MILs. CAR HOLDS VERY LOW IDLE AND HAS VERY BAD THROTTE RESPONSE. WHEN I TRY TO HOLD THE RPMS UP, THE ENGINE SPEED DROPS THEN PICKS BACK UP TO WHAT I WAS HOLDING THE RPMS AT. THIS IS MY SECOND LS SWAP AND IVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT COULD BE GOING ON?

You must have tuned on all CAPs. Thats whats wrong. Are you running a MAF? Are you usre the MAP is connected? Are the plugs new? Has this engine sat for a while? Are you usre this engine was in running condition? Oil pressure? Did you do a compression check?

using maf, all the sensors are connected and good. engine may have sat for a few months, bought it from gm recycling in sac nor cal, 50 psi +/- oil press, and i did a comp check it was good. the plugs i have not changed was going to do that tonight.

junkyard engine + bad running + no codes is frequently due to stuck injectors.

Bad injectors, coils or sparkplug wires and TPS. Good things to check first. Sounds like it's in limp home mode.

thanks for the info, i sent the ecu and wiring back to the programming company just to double check everything, there was a fuel tank pressure code that came on that was supposed to be gone. well see what they come up with. whats the best way to clean up the injectors?
