Default 67 camaro with supra motor?

my uncle was telling me that he read in some magazine that this asian guy put a 6 cylinder supra motor on a 67 or 68 not sure camaro. does anyone kno wat mag this was? or di n e one read the article? it was this month or last months mag. unfortuanatlly my uncle doesnt remember the mag n he no longer has it...he said the car looked good but i dont kno bout putting a toyota otor on a 1st gen...but to each their own

yeah, there is a red one, but i dont think it was a supra, thought it was a skyline motor

Yeah i remember seeing a link to it and i believe it was an rb26dett motor (skyline motor)

I believe it was last months issue of hot rod magazine. It was hot rod magazine for sure though.

im pretty sure it was...thanks...i just saw the vid they posted and i beleive that was it....i cant picture myself driving a camaro and sounding like an import...no matter if it has 1000 hp id rather drive a 1st gen with a ls9 in it...slower but im sure it will sound a lot better

That poor poor camaro. Who the hell would put a ricer engine in a car that should have a 454 in it. Garbage. Pure 100% garbage. The car was clean with the exception of the engine. Those cars should roar, not sound like a weed-wacker

The article in HRM completely rips into the guy too. They have a pretty colorful description of the exhaust note. Don't quote me, but something like "a cross between a Viper and a lawn mower".

Its a bad *** car even with the 2JZ setup. Interior and gauges were super clean. I remember seeing it in a millioner magazine about a year ago.

He's asian man cut him a break...

i lost all respect for hrm that camaro is stupid no matter what horsepower its like putting a ls9 in a honda civic yeah it will move but still a pos civic plain and simple
