Default bigger Stall....

It's now time to move on from the 3000 stall.. It's way too small I'm thinking more along the lines of a 3800 or possibly a 4000 I'm wondering who makes the best 4000 stall? that will get me the best performance with a heads and cam car

Tell us about your gears, tires and suspension. Also, your goals (street or strip). Then we can give you a better recommendation.

WS6,
You'll definitely want to go with a loose converter, if you're going to try for low 11s on motor. The TCI 242933 will get you there, but you'll have a hard time hooking on the BFGs. It'll stall around 4400 and will have a very high shift extension. You'll need to shift around 6500 in order to take full advantage of a converter this loose.

I have a friend with JPR Heads, TR220 cam, SLP longtubes, TCI 3000 stall, and a couple of other things running 11.20's on BFG drag radials. It is quite possible to do it with a 3000 stall.

hi, ive never posted here but i saw the info on small stalls. i have tci streetfighter. i have not put the car in "perfect" air yet but the car last week ran consistent 11.2s @ 121 1.57-58 60s. iwould not take my verter out for anything. car runs mid 10s on spray. ihave 220/552 cam and jpr heads w/3350 race weight and also gets 24 mpg.

tci converters rock, ive beaten many large converter cars, ive flew past several yank converter cars, and from what i see tci's service rocks as well. the excelleration my bfgs have over my et streets works well with my streetfighter because i dont hit my tires so hard, nor do i hit my little 7.5 too hard. keeps it simple.
