Default Six bolt heads?

I have a new GM LSX block with the option of six bolts per cylinder for the heads. I am having a hard time finding this option in a lot of the heads i am interested in, such as LS7 heads. Does anybody know where i can find six bolt heads? Maybe a stupid question but im new to this LS thing. Have just built old school 350's until now.

I don't believe any GM castings are six-bolt. You are going to have to look at aftermarket heads such as AFR, Warhawk. What type of engine are you building?

Im wanting to build a 440 with about 600-700 FWHP N/A. I know that 4 bolt heads can handle this no problem but i might want to super charge it later without having to go buy new heads.

Cary from Performance Induction Specialties is making the ETP LS7 heads now. He has both 4" and 4.1" heads. They are all 6 bolt. His stuff works!

If your willing to spend some money give Richard at WCCH a call and get some allpros. Do not buy warhawk heads. They do not line up with the GM 6 bolt block. Also don't hold your breath on those GM heads. The last time I spoke with the GMPP reps they said they were 1 year out on the head min. That was around 8 months ago but since then they had that litle financial problem and put there performance parts division on stand by.

Thanks for the info. I was sort of holding out for GMs LSX-LS7 heads. Last time i called their performance parts line the associate told me around Aug. I figure i probably wont have my engine ready for heads until about this time anyways so i was going to wait and see what happens. I just need other avenues in case they don't pan out, which is most likely! I will definitely look in to the allpros. Thanks
