Default Dual Cutouts

I was thinking that it would be fun to have dual cut outs, one on each side between the header and y-pipe. What do you guys think?

Would sound a lot better than a single cutout after the Y

A friend of mine had that setup on his Formula, seemed to work out pretty well. Sounded pretty good at the strip where he would have them open

I'm running dual (electric)cutouts as well. I used 3" bullets attached to the headers then the cutouts. After that it goes into a flowmaster merge and 3" catback. I also run the QTP controller to sync up both cutouts and set them to preset degress of open. Not sure if your planning electric or wingnut? With the electric I set them about 20% open for street driving and it sounds real good getting on it but not great idling because it sounds like the exhaust is leaking. My second preset is 40% open which sounds even better, has a great idle sound but is a bit loud and will draw attention. Now go wide open and it's sick loud and thats with bullets. Cops will hear you a block or so away. No going over 2000 rpm if your trying not to draw attention. I love my setup now, but I find I play with the controls too much, and that's probably why a cutout fails about 6 months.

yeah, I went to the LeMans race in Sebring yesterday, and was inspired by the C6R. Those things sound evil.

I'm going with 3" QTP non-electric cutouts, I can't wait to get them, they're going to be awesome, how tight are they going to be with sub-frame connectors

so do you think the 2 cutouts will produce more power over a single cutout? some people have said its better to do 1 at the Y pipe for scaveging hp.

I would think the exhaust gasses are too cool by that point to be able to give any real scavenging effect

If you do, post pics, I'd love to see those on a f-body since I've been tempted to run them as well.

Those people that have dual cut outs, what headers and Y-pipe are you running? and how much are you lowered? (if you are)

I really want to go with two cut outs but I think I'm already too low to even run an off road y-pipe. much less a y-pipe with two cutouts on it.
