I dont have any vids but we have done a H/C/I LS1 with QTP LT's/ORY.. thru a stock catback.. I DONT KNOW WHY HE DID THAT.. sounded ABSOLUTLY HORRIBLE... only took 24 hours to put the Borla back on.. But it still made some noise..

This is my old car: 355 LE2.2 cam with stock unported heads running a stock muffler and 3" cutout before the axle. The car actually sounds real nice through the muffler as you can tell in the video, Im actually thinking of putting the same setup on my Camaro now with some Corsa clones. Enjoy!!!

I'll try to find a video, I always ran heads/cam and a stock catback with an electric cutout. It's actually pretty quiet and a great setup for daily driving.

The camer I have is very good at capturing the sound, but it is really quiet in person. Still sounds badass, and even better when you open the cutout.

I would like to think that whomever has the knowledge to install a cam and supporting modifications themselves also has the rationale to realize that the stock catback on a cammed engine isn't the wisest idea for power or sound.

11 to 13rwhp loss is all we've seen on several heads/cam setup with a stock catback, cutout open vs closed. I prefer the stock catback for the pure fact that I can come home at 4am and not **** off my neighbors, I can drive past cops and not get bothered, and I can cruise down the highway and talk on my phone easily or to a passenger without yelling.

Here is an old vid of my first lloyd elliot setup on my old formula.

Here is some in car of my ls1 camaro, stock catback with a cutout. Some of my pulls are with it open, some closed, BIG difference.

Maybe it's just me, but if I'm camming my car for the HP it adds, that 11 to 13whp is more important than being able to talk on my cell phone while driving (which is illegal in my state anyway. ).

Oh well. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

It takes less than 3 seconds to open the cutout though and I get my power back so it's not a big deal.

I ran this setup for a while but with a bolt-on car. It was cool for the sleeper effect, but I love my Hooker now
