Default Pinks Events and Roll bar question

How picky are they on going fast with no roll bar when u should have one. I have saw some on show going 10.20 with no roll bar. Does different tracks let people get away with this at a Pink event?? Anybody know??

Pinks has nothing to do with safety, it all has to do with the track. Its a pretty big crowd so most likely no one will say anything unless you say what the car runs.

I was at Bristol and they bounced a couple cars for running too fast with no roll bar, but at Rockingham they let a guy run in the finals with no roll bar - lot of guys there were bitching about it but they still let him run..

I saw one competitor "tattle" on another for not having a cage. They made the guy with no cage drop out.

Ennis had some tuff tech and it was the pinks crew doing it. I laughed so hard cause the kid tried to pull my cage up like it was made from PVC.

At Gainesville (also NHRA owned) they were pretty strict. And yes, it took FOREVER to tech in nearly 500 cars!

At the Event at Ennis last weekend (Pinks) we knew a guy that got disqualified from the race the moment he went through tech and he didn't have a roll cage according to the class he picked. I would make sure my vehicle is up to NHRA standards before I go to any race.

I did Pinks All Out in Rockingham and they didnt seem picky. They did go ape **** about making sure everyone had water in the radiator and not anti-freeze. As far as the roll bar thing, I think its hit or miss.

Ill be at Pinks All Out in Concord in April but Ive already got a 6 pt.

i have been wondering the same thing lately. i have an 8 point rollbar in my car and was thinking i will probably have to keep the car on motor as to not exceed the 10.0 limit of the rollbar. i would love to spray it though and do some huge wheelies for the cameras.

any inspector worth his salt would kick you out if it is 11.49 or quicker. Also they depend on the guys running the times to see if someone is sand bagging after the 1/8th
