Default Anyone having issues with AFR Heads

Has anyone had problems with the afr heads. I was told there might be reliability issues or they had some in the past. I am rebuilding my motor and staying with stock cubes on my 98 TA to keep cost down with my current 70mm frt mnt. Also would the assembeled afr 225 need any upgrades like valves or springs with a mild turbo cam and mild boost. Shooting for around 700rwhp.

The only issue that I have heard of in the last few years was that they got a bad batch of valves that wore the tip prematurely. If you found that you had this issue, they gave you $500 for labor and fluids, replaced the valves and shipped them back with a new set of headgaskets. Kick *** company with kick *** service and a kick *** product.

If you order the head assembled and ready to go with the correct springs, then you can bolt them right up. It's the only aftermarket casting that has absolutely no issues with stock geometry or valvetrain components such as rocker arms, pushrod length, etc.

I would be willing to bet that some **** got bent when it came down. That's a problem I'll probably never have to deal with.
