Default Injectors

I am running an LS6 motor. With ported an polished heads, Torquer V2 cam, underdrive pulley, headers, vararam, etc should i stay with the stock 28.8 lb injectors or go to 30lb SVO's which on an LSX motor runs at 36lbs. Just wondering before I button the car up.

Since you'll need to tune anyways, it is a good time to run the 30s. Or $$ allowing, get 42s, that way it will give you more room to grow.

I am doing the H/C job myself. Well the 243s are being ported and polished by someonse else, but I am doing the install. I will be driving an hour to get to the tuner with the car. Will the car run the 36lb injectors or will I have to drive there nice-e-nice with the stock injectors and switch them once I get to the tuners?

The tuner stated that I could drive their with the stock, but never mentioned the 36lbers.

Do not drive untuned injectors. Serious motor damage can result. You can swap them in the parking lot before tuning.

Yeah I would drive with the 28# injectors and have the tuner change them to SVO 30# and tune!

I changed mine in the parking lot where my car was tunned. It takes 10 min and a 10 mm socket & wrench.

Mods in Sig, I'm 432rwhp & 403rwtq running SVO 30# injectors. Not sure what my duty cycle is on them, but checked out by Slowhawk when he tunned it. He told me what it was, but I forgot. I know it was good.

Alright thanks guys. So can I drive it to the parking lot. Change the injectors. Then idle it on to the dyno, etc?

FICInjectors recommended not to use SVO 30# due to the spray pattern, and instead get a set of Bosch III 36lb. Just passing on the same advice they gave me.
