Default Morel Lifters

So what lifters are comp cams that are actually Morel Lifters?

I see that the Comp Cam "R" Series ones say that they need to have an adjustable valve train..

Can you use the factory Rocker arms with them?

also who sells them and is good to buy from?

Comp doesnt sell Morel lifters. The "R" series require .002-.004" preload, which takes an adjustable valvtrain to accomplish. I dont even think pushrods have that tight of a tolerance to allow you to use them with stock rocers even if you wanted to.

Lunati sells the Morel lifters......

Since other companies buy from several manufacturers (none mentioned except Morel make their own) why not just buy Morels?

I bought my Morel Lifters from Thunder Racing. I believe 99blancoss on the forum here also carries them. Whomever you order from MAKE SURE they have them in hand. They are sometimes hard to come by. I ordered mine and waited almost 3 months!!!! Guess it was just bad timing but I was waiting for the weather so no real issue for me at the time!

bigboykilroy you have your rocker specs mixed up in your sig. An eight to one ratio is pretty high.

Yes the link bar eliminates the trays.

Do you need them?? Thats up to you. What rpm and what cam and what springs. Going agressive with dual springs?

The ls7 is just a factory lifter and is nothing special, is not a hi performance product.
The difference between them and a Morel is night and day.

The OEM lifter was enginered with certain spring pressures, cam lobes and rpms in mind.

Caddy lifters ?!?!?!?!? Have you seen any of the numerous threads about failures using caddy lifters????????

Look, I sell these Morels left and right and certainly dont need you to buy them from me but for gods sake do some research on your lifter choice.
