Too my turbo LT1 out on its maiden voyage
took the TA out for the maiden voyage (quick run up and down the street).
Having trouble with the electric gauges though... A/f doesn't light up, boost gauge doesnt shown any boost, just registers 30" of vacuum, and the fuel pressure gauge reads 30psi... when it is 43.5 @ idle. i need to figure that out before i take it back out.
As far as how it runs... it runs good. 383ci, stock heads, baby cam, T76 with stock Lt1 manifolds flipped forward. Its running 7 psi according to the wastegate spring. Feels very strong for such low boost and stock 220cfm LT1 heads.
1st gear @ 1/2 throttle spins the street tires, 2nd gear from a roll spins the tires as soon as I hit 2500rpm, and 3rd gear from a roll spins the tires once i hit 3500rpm... and spins them all the way to 90mph. Car rips good. time to mount the dr's.

lol Better be some WIDE DRs
And to be fair: 90mph @ the tires, or 90mph @ your ***? (IE, are the tires doing 90 or are you actually doing 90 with the tires still spinning?) Because that, while is impressive, is also damn dangerous >_> Be safe man.
As for the PSI, sounds like a pump being inadequate. Or a plugged filter that's not allowing enough fuel past idle. I assume you're tuned and also have substantial injectors to feed this setup?

Fuel pressure is fine... its the gauge... during the run the fuel pressure never changed from 30psi (stock regulator). i have 60# injectors with racetronix pump/hotwire kit.

How do you figure it's the gauge's fault? At idle with the vacuum line on, it shouldn't be 43.5. The PSI reading should go up I would think, if it was the gauge. But, go check with another if you're that confident Don't understand the point in mentioning fuel pressure though if you feel there's no problem with it

And if it's not reading correct, there's no point in mentioning it heh Simply putting "it's fuel pressure is where it should be", would've sufficed.
Not that you're out to satisfy me, but I won't believe it has good fuel pressure till its either a mechanical gauge telling you that, or someone else's/a different mechanical

So it's not a mechanical gauge?

I'd guess the ground first, but if any share a common connection, that is the likely culprit. And unless it was only a day since you installed the gauges, your fuel pressure could easily have changed. Especially if it's been a week, or more importantly longer.
