Default LS6 intake installation. Urgent help please.

Well I'm tearing this thing apart and I'm having a ton of trouble.

When I deleted my AIR I had this clip with an electrical connector on the side and I have no idea what it goes to.

It has two vacuum hoses, but I can only find one, that connect into it and an electrical connector.

I think I removed one with the AIR, but I can't remember.

Ah! Needing some help guys!

Thanks!

Driver side.

I can't get a pic of it.

:/

It just has an electrical connector at one end and two little vacuum fittings on the other.

It's a small piece.

thats for the air solenoid if i read your description correct, those tow little vaccum hoses go into it, my suggestion is get a vaccum cap and delete those two.
the back of the intaqke only needs the large brake booster hose, the map sensor, and the smaller vaccum line that goes into the wire harness for the ac

OK.

I can confirm it is part of the AIR system.

But I threw a check engine pretty quickly.

Any idea what it might be?

She is GREAT on power, shifts perfect, runs perfect, and idles GREAT!

And I did break my oil pressure sensor thingy, but I replaced it.

No. It connects to a "T" junction, you can block the one end on that that goes to the AIR pump.

You NEED the MAP sensor, brake booster, and that "T" thing.

I deal with more race cars than street cars. EFI is great for the street and emissions and yada yada yada but real race cars have carburetors. my ls1 is my DD and my first EFI build. And my first EFI car come to think. Even my crotch rocket had carbs. forgive me for not being God of EFI.

hi guys, i have a question about ls6 intake manifold installation, i figure i just ask right here instead of making a new thread.

i'm not mechanically inclined and any help would be appreciate

my car is a 98 camaro ss,

i believe my car has EGR/AIR, the guy that i bought the ls6 IM said that it doesn't have EGR, and i think all ls6 intake doesn't have EGR except for one that has been modified, my question is,

*what parts that need to be prepared before doing the swap?
*how long the installation usually take? (since i'm pretty sure i'm going to do the EGR/AIR delete thing)
*Will my Ported Jantzer TB fit the ls6 IM?
*Would i have any problems with my stock fuel rails?

if anyone can direct me to a thread that has info about my question that'd be a great help

Thanks

Ray
