hit rev limiter now car acting wierd help!
hey guys i was up at the track and i hit the limiter in 2nd (car is a a4 but i had it in 2 instead of drive.
now the car seems like its missing a little.
if im going down the road about 40 then i let all the way off as the car is slowing it self down it will feel like theres a miss but its fine when im on it.
could i have bent a push rod
give me some ideas guys.

sounds fine at idle and i dont feel any miss when im on it.
i did have a problem on my 98 supercharged gtp when i would hit the limiter it would almost allways fry a plug wire i dont know why but it would and i have cheap duralast wires on the car now.
ill go trade em for a new set and see if that fixes it.

hitting the rev limiter is not going to magically break your car. mechanically over reving like going from 3rd to 2nd instead of 4th will **** it up (bent pushrods). Either its all in your head, or there is an underlying problem not necessarily related to hitting the rev limiter. Honestly I think your just paranoid.

well i went ahead and swaped the plug wires, cleaned the maf, cleaned the iac motor and went over every thing then i disconnected the battery for about 20 min to reset the idle and it seems to run better and smother.
maybe i just pay to much attention to little noises and vibrations.
thanks guys for the help.
